With the advance of text-to-image (T2I) diffusion models (e.g., Stable Diffusion) and corresponding personalization techniques such as DreamBooth and LoRA, everyone can manifest their imagination into high-quality images at an affordable cost. However, adding motion dynamics to existing high-quality personalized T2Is and enabling them to generate animations remains an open challenge. In this paper, we present AnimateDiff, a practical framework for animating personalized T2I models without requiring model-specific tuning. At the core of our framework is a plug-and-play motion module that can be trained once and seamlessly integrated into any personalized T2Is originating from the same base T2I. Through our proposed training strategy, the motion module effectively learns transferable motion priors from real-world videos. Once trained, the motion module can be inserted into a personalized T2I model to form a personalized animation generator. We further propose MotionLoRA, a lightweight fine-tuning technique for AnimateDiff that enables a pre-trained motion module to adapt to new motion patterns, such as different shot types, at a low training and data collection cost. We evaluate AnimateDiff and MotionLoRA on several public representative personalized T2I models collected from the community. The results demonstrate that our approaches help these models generate temporally smooth animation clips while preserving the visual quality and motion diversity. The development of text-to-video (T2V), i.e., generating videos with a given text prompt, has been significantly advanced in recent years. However, relying solely on text prompts often results in ambiguous frame composition due to spatial uncertainty. The research community thus leverages the dense structure signals, e.g., per-frame depth/edge sequences, to enhance controllability, whose collection accordingly increases the burden of inference. In this work, we present SparseCtrl to enable flexible structure control with temporally sparse signals, requiring only one or a few inputs, as shown in Figure 1. It incorporates an additional condition encoder to process these sparse signals while leaving the pre-trained T2V model untouched. The proposed approach is compatible with various modalities, including sketches, depth maps, and RGB images, providing more practical control for video generation and promoting applications such as storyboarding, depth rendering, keyframe animation, and interpolation. Extensive experiments demonstrate the generalization of SparseCtrl on both original and personalized T2V generators. Recent advances in video generation can produce realistic, minute-long single-shot videos with scalable diffusion transformers. However, real-world narrative videos require multi-shot scenes with visual and dynamic consistency across shots. In this work, we introduce Long Context Tuning (LCT), a training paradigm that expands the context window of pre-trained single-shot video diffusion models to learn scene-level consistency directly from data. Our method expands full attention mechanisms from individual shots to encompass all shots within a scene, incorporating interleaved 3D position embedding and an asynchronous noise strategy, enabling both joint and auto-regressive shot generation without additional parameters. Models with bidirectional attention after LCT can further be fine-tuned with context-causal attention, facilitating auto-regressive generation with efficient KV-cache. Experiments demonstrate single-shot models after LCT can produce coherent multi-shot scenes and exhibit emerging capabilities, including compositional generation and interactive shot extension, paving the way for more practical visual content creation. Autoregressive video diffusion models hold promise for world simulation but are vulnerable to exposure bias arising from the train-test mismatch. While recent works address this via post-training, they typically rely on a bidirectional teacher model or online discriminator. To achieve an end-to-end solution, we introduce Resampling Forcing, a teacher-free framework that enables training autoregressive video models from scratch and at scale. Central to our approach is a self-resampling scheme that simulates inference-time model errors on history frames during training. Conditioned on these degraded histories, a sparse causal mask enforces temporal causality while enabling parallel training with frame-level diffusion loss. To facilitate efficient long-horizon generation, we further introduce history routing, a parameter-free mechanism that dynamically retrieves the top-k most relevant history frames for each query. Experiments demonstrate that our approach achieves performance comparable to distillation-based baselines while exhibiting superior temporal consistency on longer videos owing to native-length training.

Multi-agent simulation based on LLMs has increasingly emerged as a new paradigm for exploring complex social phenomena and validating theoretical hypotheses. However, traditional experimental design in the social sciences relies heavily on interdisciplinary expert knowledge, involving cumbersome procedures and high technical barriers. While LLM-driven agents demonstrate broad prospects for designing experiments, their limitations regarding reliability and scientific rigor continue to significantly hinder their in-depth application in social science research. To address these challenges, this paper proposes FSTS, an automated framework for multi-agent experiment design based on script generation. Drawing on the concept of the "Decision Theater," the framework deconstructs experimental design into three core phases: Script Composition, Script Finalization, and Actor Generation. Tests across multiple scenarios indicate that the agents generated by this framework can enact the script within the "experimental theater", reproducing results consistent with real-world situations. The proposal of FSTS not only effectively lowers the barrier for social science experimental design but also provides scientifically grounded decision support for policy-making.

Feature alignment between domains is one of the mainstream methods for Unsupervised Domain Adaptation (UDA) semantic segmentation. Existing feature alignment methods for semantic segmentation learn domain-invariant features by adversarial training to reduce domain discrepancy, but they have two limits: 1) associations among pixels are not maintained, 2) the classifier trained on the source domain couldn't adapted well to the target. In this paper, we propose a new UDA semantic segmentation approach based on domain closeness assumption to alleviate the above problems. Specifically, a prototype clustering strategy is applied to cluster pixels with the same semantic, which will better maintain associations among target domain pixels during the feature alignment. After clustering, to make the classifier more adaptive, a normalized cut loss based on the affinity graph of the target domain is utilized, which will make the decision boundary target-specific. Sufficient experiments conducted on GTA5 $\rightarrow$ Cityscapes and SYNTHIA $\rightarrow$ Cityscapes proved the effectiveness of our method, which illustrated that our results achieved the new state-of-the-art.

Understanding 3D scenes is a crucial challenge in computer vision research with applications spanning multiple domains. Recent advancements in distilling 2D vision-language foundation models into neural fields, like NeRF and 3DGS, enable open-vocabulary segmentation of 3D scenes from 2D multi-view images without the need for precise 3D annotations. However, while effective, these methods typically rely on the per-pixel distillation of high-dimensional CLIP features, introducing ambiguity and necessitating complex regularization strategies, which adds inefficiency during training. This paper presents MaskField, which enables efficient 3D open-vocabulary segmentation with neural fields from a novel perspective. Unlike previous methods, MaskField decomposes the distillation of mask and semantic features from foundation models by formulating a mask feature field and queries. MaskField overcomes ambiguous object boundaries by naturally introducing SAM segmented object shapes without extra regularization during training. By circumventing the direct handling of dense high-dimensional CLIP features during training, MaskField is particularly compatible with explicit scene representations like 3DGS. Our extensive experiments show that MaskField not only surpasses prior state-of-the-art methods but also achieves remarkably fast convergence. We hope that MaskField will inspire further exploration into how neural fields can be trained to comprehend 3D scenes from 2D models.

Modern enterprises generate vast streams of time series metrics when monitoring complex systems, known as observability data. Unlike conventional time series from domains such as weather, observability data are zero-inflated, highly stochastic, and exhibit minimal temporal structure. Despite their importance, observability datasets are underrepresented in public benchmarks due to proprietary restrictions. Existing datasets are often anonymized and normalized, removing scale information and limiting their use for tasks beyond forecasting, such as anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, and multi-modal reasoning. To address this gap, we introduce TelecomTS, a large-scale observability dataset derived from a 5G telecommunications network. TelecomTS features heterogeneous, de-anonymized covariates with explicit scale information and supports a suite of downstream tasks, including anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, and a question-answering benchmark requiring multi-modal reasoning. Benchmarking state-of-the-art time series, language, and reasoning models reveals that existing approaches struggle with the abrupt, noisy, and high-variance dynamics of observability data. Our experiments also underscore the importance of preserving covariates' absolute scale, emphasizing the need for foundation time series models that natively leverage scale information for practical observability applications.

Although image editing techniques have advanced significantly, video editing, which aims to manipulate videos according to user intent, remains an emerging challenge. Most existing image-conditioned video editing methods either require inversion with model-specific design or need extensive optimization, limiting their capability of leveraging up-to-date image-to-video (I2V) models to transfer the editing capability of image editing models to the video domain. To this end, we propose IF-V2V, an Inversion-Free method that can adapt off-the-shelf flow-matching-based I2V models for video editing without significant computational overhead. To circumvent inversion, we devise Vector Field Rectification with Sample Deviation to incorporate information from the source video into the denoising process by introducing a deviation term into the denoising vector field. To further ensure consistency with the source video in a model-agnostic way, we introduce Structure-and-Motion-Preserving Initialization to generate motion-aware temporally correlated noise with structural information embedded. We also present a Deviation Caching mechanism to minimize the additional computational cost for denoising vector rectification without significantly impacting editing quality. Evaluations demonstrate that our method achieves superior editing quality and consistency over existing approaches, offering a lightweight plug-and-play solution to realize visual creativity.

LLM-empowered agent simulations are increasingly used to study social emergence, yet the micro-to-macro causal mechanisms behind macro outcomes often remain unclear. This is challenging because emergence arises from intertwined agent interactions and meso-level feedback and nonlinearity, making generative mechanisms hard to disentangle. To this end, we introduce \textbf{\textsc{CAMO}}, an automated \textbf{Ca}usal discovery framework from \textbf{M}icr\textbf{o} behaviors to \textbf{M}acr\textbf{o} Emergence in LLM agent simulations. \textsc{CAMO} converts mechanistic hypotheses into computable factors grounded in simulation records and learns a compact causal representation centered on an emergent target $Y$. \textsc{CAMO} outputs a computable Markov boundary and a minimal upstream explanatory subgraph, yielding interpretable causal chains and actionable intervention levers. It also uses simulator-internal counterfactual probing to orient ambiguous edges and revise hypotheses when evidence contradicts the current view. Experiments across four emergent settings demonstrate the promise of \textsc{CAMO}.

Many real-world systems, such as transportation systems, ecological systems, and Internet systems, are complex systems. As an important tool for studying complex systems, computational experiments can map them into artificial society models that are computable and reproducible within computers, thereby providing digital and computational methods for quantitative analysis. In current research, the construction of individual agent models often ignores the long-term accumulative effect of memory mechanisms in the development process of agents, which to some extent causes the constructed models to deviate from the real characteristics of real-world systems. To address this challenge, this paper proposes an individual agent model based on a memory-learning collaboration mechanism, which implements hierarchical modeling of the memory mechanism and a multi-indicator evaluation mechanism. Through hierarchical modeling of the individual memory repository, the group memory repository, and the memory buffer pool, memory can be effectively managed, and knowledge sharing and dissemination between individuals and groups can be promoted. At the same time, the multi-indicator evaluation mechanism enables dynamic evaluation of memory information, allowing dynamic updates of information in the memory set and promoting collaborative decision-making between memory and learning. Experimental results show that, compared with existing memory modeling methods, the agents constructed by the proposed model demonstrate better decision-making quality and adaptability within the system. This verifies the effectiveness of the individual agent model based on the memory-learning collaboration mechanism proposed in this paper in improving the quality of individual-level modeling in artificial society modeling and achieving anthropomorphic characteristics.

Generating human videos from a single image while ensuring high visual quality and precise control is a challenging task, especially in complex scenarios involving multiple individuals and interactions with objects. Existing methods, while effective for single-human cases, often fail to handle the intricacies of multi-identity interactions because they struggle to associate the correct pairs of human appearance and pose condition and model the distribution of 3D-aware dynamics. To address these limitations, we present \emph{Structural Video Diffusion}, a novel framework designed for generating realistic multi-human videos. Our approach introduces two core innovations: identity-specific embeddings to maintain consistent appearances across individuals and a structural learning mechanism that incorporates depth and surface-normal cues to model human-object interactions. Additionally, we expand existing human video dataset with 25K new videos featuring diverse multi-human and object interaction scenarios, providing a robust foundation for training. Experimental results demonstrate that Structural Video Diffusion achieves superior performance in generating lifelike, coherent videos for multiple subjects with dynamic and rich interactions, advancing the state of human-centric video generation. Visual concept composition, which aims to integrate different elements from images and videos into a single, coherent visual output, still falls short in accurately extracting complex concepts from visual inputs and flexibly combining concepts from both images and videos. We introduce Bind & Compose, a one-shot method that enables flexible visual concept composition by binding visual concepts with corresponding prompt tokens and composing the target prompt with bound tokens from various sources. It adopts a hierarchical binder structure for cross-attention conditioning in Diffusion Transformers to encode visual concepts into corresponding prompt tokens for accurate decomposition of complex visual concepts. To improve concept-token binding accuracy, we design a Diversify-and-Absorb Mechanism that uses an extra absorbent token to eliminate the impact of concept-irrelevant details when training with diversified prompts. To enhance the compatibility between image and video concepts, we present a Temporal Disentanglement Strategy that decouples the training process of video concepts into two stages with a dual-branch binder structure for temporal modeling. Evaluations demonstrate that our method achieves superior concept consistency, prompt fidelity, and motion quality over existing approaches, opening up new possibilities for visual creativity.

Language-model agent systems commonly rely on reactive prompting, in which a single instruction guides the model through an open-ended sequence of reasoning and tool-use steps, leaving control flow and intermediate state implicit and making agent behavior potentially difficult to control. Orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, DSPy, and CrewAI impose greater structure through explicit workflow definitions, but tightly couple workflow logic with Python, making agents difficult to maintain and modify. In this paper, we introduce AgentSPEX, an Agent SPecification and EXecution Language for specifying LLM-agent workflows with explicit control flow and modular structure, along with a customizable agent harness. AgentSPEX supports typed steps, branching and loops, parallel execution, reusable submodules, and explicit state management, and these workflows execute within an agent harness that provides tool access, a sandboxed virtual environment, and support for checkpointing, verification, and logging. Furthermore, we provide a visual editor with synchronized graph and workflow views for authoring and inspection. We include ready-to-use agents for deep research and scientific research, and we evaluate AgentSPEX on 7 benchmarks. Finally, we show through a user study that AgentSPEX provides a more interpretable and accessible workflow-authoring paradigm than a popular existing agent framework.

We present Omni, a unified multimodal model natively trained on diverse modalities, including text, images, videos, 3D geometry, and hidden representations. We find that such training enables Context Unrolling, where the model explicitly reasons across multiple modal representations before producing predictions. This process enables the model to aggregate complementary information across heterogeneous modalities, facilitating a more faithful approximation of the shared multimodal knowledge manifold and improving downstream reasoning fidelity. As a result, Omni achieves strong performance on both multimodal generation and understanding benchmarks, while demonstrating advanced multimodal reasoning capabilities, including in-context generation of text, image, video, and 3D geometry.

Visible-infrared person re-identification (VI-ReID) aims to search the same pedestrian of interest across visible and infrared modalities. Existing models mainly focus on compensating for modality-specific information to reduce modality variation. However, these methods often lead to a higher computational overhead and may introduce interfering information when generating the corresponding images or features. To address this issue, it is critical to leverage pedestrian-attentive features and learn modality-complete and -consistent representation. In this paper, a novel Transferring Modality-Aware Pedestrian Attentive Learning (TMPA) model is proposed, focusing on the pedestrian regions to efficiently compensate for missing modality-specific features. Specifically, we propose a region-based data augmentation module PedMix to enhance pedestrian region coherence by mixing the corresponding regions from different modalities. A lightweight hybrid compensation module, i.e., the Modality Feature Transfer (MFT), is devised to integrate cross attention and convolution networks to fully explore the discriminative modality-complete features with minimal computational overhead. Extensive experiments conducted on the benchmark SYSU-MM01 and RegDB datasets demonstrated the effectiveness of our proposed TMPA model.

The ability to choose an appropriate camera view among multiple cameras plays a vital role in TV shows delivery. But it is hard to figure out the statistical pattern and apply intelligent processing due to the lack of high-quality training data. To solve this issue, we first collect a novel benchmark on this setting with four diverse scenarios including concerts, sports games, gala shows, and contests, where each scenario contains 6 synchronized tracks recorded by different cameras. It contains 88-hour raw videos that contribute to the 14-hour edited videos. Based on this benchmark, we further propose a new approach temporal and contextual transformer that utilizes clues from historical shots and other views to make shot transition decisions and predict which view to be used. Extensive experiments show that our method outperforms existing methods on the proposed multi-camera editing benchmark.

Existing diffusion-based methods have achieved impressive results in human motion editing. However, these methods often exhibit significant ghosting and body distortion in unseen in-the-wild cases. In this paper, we introduce Edit-Your-Motion, a video motion editing method that tackles these challenges through one-shot fine-tuning on unseen cases. Specifically, firstly, we utilized DDIM inversion to initialize the noise, preserving the appearance of the source video and designed a lightweight motion attention adapter module to enhance motion fidelity. DDIM inversion aims to obtain the implicit representations by estimating the prediction noise from the source video, which serves as a starting point for the sampling process, ensuring the appearance consistency between the source and edited videos. The Motion Attention Module (MA) enhances the model's motion editing ability by resolving the conflict between the skeleton features and the appearance features. Secondly, to effectively decouple motion and appearance of source video, we design a spatio-temporal two-stage learning strategy (STL). In the first stage, we focus on learning temporal features of human motion and propose recurrent causal attention (RCA) to ensure consistency between video frames. In the second stage, we shift focus on learning the appearance features of the source video. With Edit-Your-Motion, users can edit the motion of humans in the source video, creating more engaging and diverse content. Extensive qualitative and quantitative experiments, along with user preference studies, show that Edit-Your-Motion outperforms other methods.

We present Captain Cinema, a generation framework for short movie generation. Given a detailed textual description of a movie storyline, our approach firstly generates a sequence of keyframes that outline the entire narrative, which ensures long-range coherence in both the storyline and visual appearance (e.g., scenes and characters). We refer to this step as top-down keyframe planning. These keyframes then serve as conditioning signals for a video synthesis model, which supports long context learning, to produce the spatio-temporal dynamics between them. This step is referred to as bottom-up video synthesis. To support stable and efficient generation of multi-scene long narrative cinematic works, we introduce an interleaved training strategy for Multimodal Diffusion Transformers (MM-DiT), specifically adapted for long-context video data. Our model is trained on a specially curated cinematic dataset consisting of interleaved data pairs. Our experiments demonstrate that Captain Cinema performs favorably in the automated creation of visually coherent and narrative consistent short movies in high quality and efficiency. Understanding and replicating the real world is a critical challenge in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) research. To achieve this, many existing approaches, such as world models, aim to capture the fundamental principles governing the physical world, enabling more accurate simulations and meaningful interactions. However, current methods often treat different modalities, including 2D (images), videos, 3D, and 4D representations, as independent domains, overlooking their interdependencies. Additionally, these methods typically focus on isolated dimensions of reality without systematically integrating their connections. In this survey, we present a unified survey for multimodal generative models that investigate the progression of data dimensionality in real-world simulation. Specifically, this survey starts from 2D generation (appearance), then moves to video (appearance+dynamics) and 3D generation (appearance+geometry), and finally culminates in 4D generation that integrate all dimensions. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt to systematically unify the study of 2D, video, 3D and 4D generation within a single framework. To guide future research, we provide a comprehensive review of datasets, evaluation metrics and future directions, and fostering insights for newcomers. This survey serves as a bridge to advance the study of multimodal generative models and real-world simulation within a unified framework.
