Complementarity between position and momentum as a consequence of Kochen–Specker arguments

Abstract We give two simple Kochen–Specker arguments for complementary between the position and momentum of spinless particles. The arguments work for systems with two and three degrees of freedom, and are formally analogous to those given by Peres and Mermin for two and three spin-1/2 particles, even though only observables with purely continuous spectra are invoked.
