K − He 3 and K + K − interactions in the pd → He 3 K + K − reaction

We investigate the ${K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ and ${K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ interactions in the reaction $\mathit{pd}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}$ $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ ${K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ near threshold and compare our model calculations with data from the MOMO experiment at COSY-J\"ulich. A large attractive effective ${K}^{\ensuremath{-}}p$ amplitude would give a significant ${K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ final-state interaction effect, which is not supported by the experimental data. We also estimate upper limits for the ${a}_{0}(980)$ and ${f}_{0}(980)$ contributions to the produced ${K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ pairs.
