W e study the stringy genus one partition function of N = 2 SCFT’s. It is shown how to com pute this using an anom aly in decoupling of BR ST trivial states from the partition function.A particularlim itofthispartition function yieldsthepartition function oftopologicaltheory coupled to topologicalgravity. A s an application we com pute the num ber of holom orphic elliptic curves over certain Calabi-Yau m anifolds including the quintic threefold. This m ay be viewed as the (cid:12)rst application ofm irror sym m etry at the string quantum level.
