Numerical analysis of renormalon technique in quantum mechanics

W e discussthe waysofextracting a low energy scale ofan underlying theory using high energy scattering data. W ithin an exactly solvable m odelofquantum m echanics we analyze a technique based on introduction of nonperturbative power corrections accounting for asym ptotically sm allterm s and an alternative approach exploiting a m odi(cid:12) ed running coupling constantofthe m odeland nonperturbative continuation of evolution equations into an infrared region. N um ericalestim ates show that the latter ism ore e(cid:14) cientin approxim ating low-energy data ofthe m odel.
