/ Abstract
The recent experimental data on ${D}^{+}\ensuremath{-}{D}^{0}$ and ${D}^{*+}\ensuremath{-}{D}^{*0}$ mass differences are used as inputs in the QCD sum rules to obtain new estimates on the mass difference of light quarks and on the difference of their condensates: ${m}_{d}\ensuremath{-}{m}_{u}=3\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1$ MeV, $〈\overline{d}d〉\ensuremath{-}〈\overline{u}u〉=\ensuremath{-}(2.5\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}3}〈\overline{u}u〉$ (at a standard normalization point, $\ensuremath{\mu}=0.5$ GeV).
