Comments on ``Modification of Z boson properties in the quark-gluon plasma'' and ``Two-loop contribution to high mass dilepton production by a quark-gluon plasma''

We examine recently published results, on the thermal production of massive vector bosons in a quark-gluon plasma. We claim the production rate of a massive boson is a collinear safe observable.
