A B ST R A C T The Large Area M ulti-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAM OST) is a dedi- cated spectroscopicsurvey telescope being builtin China, with an eective aperture of4 m eters and equiped with 4000 bers.Using the LAM OST telescope, one could m akeredshiftsurveyofthelargescalestructure(LSS).Thebaryonacousticoscillation (BAO)featuresin theLSS powerspectrum providestandard rulersform easuringdark energy and othercosm ologicalparam eters. In thispaperwe investigate the m eaure- m entprecision achievable fora few possible surveys:(1)a m agnitude lim ited survey ofallgalaxies,(2)a survey ofcolorselected red lum inousgalaxies(LRG),and (3)a m agnitudelim ited, high density survey of z < 2 quasars.Foreach survey, weusethe halo m odelto estim atethebiasofthesam ple,and calculatetheeectivevolum e.W e then usetheFisherm atrix m ethod to forecasttheerroron thedark energy equation ofstate and othercosm ologicalparam etersfordierentsurvey param eters. In a few caseswealso usetheM arkov Chain M onteCarlo (M CM C)m ethod to m akethesam e forecast as a com parison.Theber tim e required for each ofthese surveys is also estim ated.Theseresultswould beusefulin designing thesurveysforLAM OST.
